Shot List

Camera Shots and Stuff

Week 5 Post 1

Within my film opening, I will be utilizing different camera shots to serve different purposes within the video. I created a shot list to show this.

First, I did some research on what a shot list was.

A shot list is a document that maps out what will take place in a film, or video, that describes each shot within the film or video. It creates a checklist for the project by forming a sense of direction and preparation for the film crew.

What goes into a shot list?

  • Brief description of shot/characters
  • Scene number/shot number
  • Shot type
  • Camera angle
  • Camera movement
  • Camera equipment
  • Framing (aspect ratio)
  • Location
  • Setup times
  • Sometimes audio notes, or prop mentions

I watched the following video to help guide me...
